Traditional Chinese thought has played an important role in the design of traditional Chinese gardens from the Song dynasty onward.  In this lecture -- a collaboration between Snug Harbor Education and the CUNY College of Staten Islands East Asian Studies Department -- we will look at how these and other ideas are embodied in the NY Chinese Scholars Garden.  After the presentation, we will tour the garden to see these concepts and design elements in action.
